I give to you ladies and gentleman Russian Pete,Peter Jasin of Bremerton Jan. 22, 1929 to Jan. 3, 2010 Veteran Peter Jasin "Russian Pete" passed away at Harrison Memorial Hospital on Jan. 3 2010 of natural causes. Peter was born on Jan.22 1929 in Poland. Peter came to the United States in 1947. Peter is survived by son Peter Jasin Jr. of Tacoma and a daughter Pearl Heaton of Germantown, CT and his friend and caregiver Brenda Miller. Peter entered the United States Army on May 27th, 1948 and was honorably discharged on Feb. 4th, 1952. He was highly decorated in the Korean War, receiving the Korean service medal, combat inf. Badge (C.I.B.), Five Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. After Peter's military service he entered Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an electrician in shop 51. He loved to be "in the wind" on his Harley Davidson Panhead chopper. Peter's signature look was a full length fur coat while riding. Peter enjoyed spending his time at Brother Don's and Monica's Social Club. Peter had a love for many things, but most of all, he loved the Ladies. Peter will be put to rest on Jan. 22nd, 2010 at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 S.E. 240th St. Kent, WA. 98042 at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at Monica's Social Club 818 6th St. Bremerton, WA, at 2 p.m. Jan. 23, 2010.
